October is Save Kiwi Month, and we’re doing our bit!
October is Save Kiwi Month, and SIRCET is getting involved! In conjunction with Kiwis for Kiwi we’ve got a couple of events lined up.
First off is our annual Bake Sale (aka The Great Kiwi Morning Tea). This is being held down at the Community Noticeboard on Saturday 20th Oct from 10am - 12noon.
We’re after YOUR help with this one! Firstly, we’re after some keen bakers and cooks to donate edible goodies! Anyone keen to get creative in the kitchen should bring their donations down to the noticeboard on the day between 9.30 - 10am (or contact our project administrator to make other arrangements: Enable JavaScript to view protected content.). Secondly, we’re after people to purchase all the deliciousness that gets donated! Come down to the noticeboard between 10am - 12noon to purchase all the goodness - don’t be late though as supplies wont last!!! All donations received will go directly to Kiwis for Kiwi!
Secondly, we’re helping keep Kiwi safe by holding a Kiwi Avoidance Training Day on Monday 22nd Oct out at Moturau. You will need to book in with Di or Sandy to make a time to train your dog. And you can contact either of them via email: Di Morris - Enable JavaScript to view protected content. or Sandy King - Enable JavaScript to view protected content.
Help support us in our quest to protect Kiwi on Stewart Island!
